Works by Alec Grossman Featured in Durham, NC
In Elysian Fields We Lay is the title of an exhibit of paintings by Durham native, Alec Grossman that will hang in the Semans Gallery of the Durham Arts Council Building in Durham, NC, through Sept. 18.
In this exhibit as with all his work, Grossman strives to represent the ideal form behind every image. The artists palette of intense reds, greens, and blues reflect the intensity of human emotion. The works often contain multiple themes to translate sublime experiences for his audience.
Grossman is a native of Durham and currently resides in Chapel Hill, NC. He attended Carnegie Mellon University and Savannah College of Art and Design where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. He plans to attend the University of North Carolina to pursue a Master of Fine Arts degree. Grossman has had several works in group shows, and this will be his second solo exhibition.
