Nina Liu and Friends in Charleston, SC, Features Works by Stephen Bamonte

Many fish stories will be told about this summer's catches, but the best catch of the season may very well be on the walls of Nina Liu and Friends in Charleston, SC. Stephen Bamonte's exhibit, Fish on Friday, on view from Sept. 3 - 29, 2004, consists of paintings of our friends that live below the waves, and will definitely have stories to go with them. Plan a quiet afternoon visit to the gallery early in the month and scoop up some of these fresh paintings.

Bamonte has been exhibiting at the gallery for the past few years and has gathered his subject matter for this show in a resourceful way. He has incorporated several techniques of painting and printing to achieve a unique looking perspective of a sometimes difficult subject to render. The sizes of the individual works vary and will be presented in a grouping on a single wall.

Bamonte has created this body of work over the course of the summer and the paintings are meant to inspire us to look, listen and tell.
