West End Art Gallery in Winston-Salem, NC, Offers Benefit for Forsyth Humane Society

The West End Art Gallery, located in Winston-Salem, NC, is pleased to announce a group exhibition of animal artists from around the United States. This exciting community event will help raise money for the Forsyth Humane Society in Winston-Salem, NC. The exhibit, Furr Ball Exhibit, will open on view from Septe 1- 30, 2005. With 45 artists participating, any animal lover and children will truly enjoy this event. 

On Sept. 9, 2005, the Forsyth Humane Society is hosting its second annual "Furr" Ball Fundraising Gala. West End Art Gallery and participating artists are collaborating with the animal shelter to help raise money for this exciting event.

The diverse range of artists featured in this group show represent media including oil, acrylic, charcoal, watercolor, glass, jewelry, ceramic pieces, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Etchings, giclees, and prints are also available by several of the artists and all artists are available for commissions. Each artist averages a minimum of 5 pieces that will be included in the exhibit.

The majority of artists are North Carolina based but also participating are artists from Virginia, New York, Washington, DC, Ohio, New Mexico, Texas, California, and Minnesota. Subject matter includes but is not limited to household animals like dogs and cats. Viewers can also expect to see critters of all kinds including raccoons, horse, elephants, frogs, chicken, fish, llamas, and birds.  

West End Art Gallery and the participating artists to the Forsyth Humane Society will donate 10% of all sales generated during this exhibit. This could be the perfect time to let your favorite pet become a piece of artwork that you will cherish for years to come!

West End Art Gallery is extremely excited about this large-scale community project. Each artist is unique in their style but all have one common themeanimals that come in all shapes, colors, and sizes.
