WICKWIRE fine art/folk art in Hendersonville, NC, Features Works by Jim Carson

WICKWIRE fine art/folk art in Hendersonville, NC, is pleased to present original oil paintings in a fresh, painterly style by Jim Carson. Carson's bright, vibrant paintings will be on view from Sept. 1 - 30, 2005.

Carson has been painting in oil and acrylic for over 15 years. His colorful works are described as "fresh and painterly". In July 2003, after practicing law for 31 years in Macon, GA, Carson moved to Saluda, NC, where he continues his love of painting on a full time basis. He prefers painting en plein air.

"Once you see the true colors in reality, painting from any other source does not inspire the same emotion," says Carson. "To be outside and be so focused on your work is a meditation experience that is difficult to describe."

There is a true simplicity and freshness to Carson's work that distinguishes it, and gives it a character all its own. He has won awards in every juried show that he has entered, and his work shows in banks, corporate and private galleries from California to Florida.
