Circle of Eight Ceramic Group in Charlotte, NC, Offers Annual Sale

The Circle of Eight, a group of ceramic artists from the Charlotte, NC, region, will hold their 3rd Annual Fall Sale on Sept. 20, 2008, from 10am-4pm, at 1225 Dade Street in Charlotte. The sale is located near the NODA arts district.

Circle of Eight was established in 2006 when eight ceramic artists came together to promote their work through exhibitions and public sales. There is much diversity amongst the group with utilitarian and sculptural works being represented. High-temperature porcelain and stoneware, as well as earthenware clays are used to create individual works of art for use or as ornament in and around the home.

Each member of Circle of Eight is an established artist with a distinct style and voice in clay. Members of Circle of Eight are Adrienne Dellinger, Ron Philbeck, Jennifer Mecca, Amy Sanders, Greg Scott, Julie Wiggins and Sandy Singletary. This year's guest artist for the fall sale is Brad Tucker.

The group holds two sales a year that are open to the public; one in the fall and another in the spring. Circle of Eight has exhibited regionally as well as nationally as a group since its inception, including a feature show during the NCECA in Louisville, KY, in 2007.
