Frame of Mind in Columbia, SC, Features Works by Jean Bourque and Barbie Mathis

Frame of Mind in Columbia, SC, will present the exhibit, The Language of Flowers, featuring works by Jean Bourque and Barbie Mathis, on view from Sept. 10 - 30, 2009, as part of its ongoing FOM Series.

In addition to writing and blogging, Jeanne Bourque is an abstract artist who works with paints, fibers, and mixed media, as well as photography. Barbie Mathis, an illustrator and designer has emerged into a formidable watercolorist whose paintings cross the spectrum of authentic colors with layers of atmospheric glazes which have become her signature style.

The FOM Series is a monthly art exhibition dedicated to supporting and featuring both up-and- coming and established local South Carolina artists. The brainchild of Forest Acres native and licensed optician, Mark Plessinger, the FOM series has previously featured such artists as Anastasia Chernoff, Claude Buckley and Pamm Collins.

For further information check our SC Commercial Gallery listings, call Mark or Wendy Plessinger at 803/988-1065 or e-mail to (frameofmind@sc.rr.com).
