The Lincoln Economic Development Association in Lincolnton, NC, Offers Photography Exhibit

The Lincoln Economic Development Association (LEDA), is presenting the second rotation of the LEDA Art Invitational '09, on view through Nov. 16, 2009, in the LEDA Board Room Gallery located in historic downtown Lincolnton, NC.

The exhibit entitled, Rethinking the Ordinary, highlights photographic art that captures ordinary scenes and objects but from a unique perspective. Selected by peer recommendations with work selected via a jury process, the professional photographers featured in the exhibit include: Ron McCann, Joseph Brymer (both of Denver, NC), Mary Whisonant, Ari Miller, Seth Mabry (all of Lincolnton), and Karen Banker (Pumpkin Center, NC).

The LEDA Art Invitational '09 is a collaborative effort between economic development professionals and invited professional artists and photographers who have lived and/or worked in Lincoln County. Developed as an annual event, the LEDA Art Invitational consists of multiple rotations of artwork each year with typical exhibits running two to six months. The purpose of the exhibits is to showcase the cultural richness of Lincoln County to visitors from around the world as well as to local business, community, and civic leaders who visit the LEDA facility. The invited artists' work receives exposure to potential corporate art buyers and individuals to help them build their art and photography businesses.
