Upstate Visual Arts in Greenville, SC, Offers Annual Juried Exhibit in New Location

Upstate Visual Arts in Greenville, SC, will present its Fall Juried Show 2009, featuring work from some of the most talented artists in South Carolina, on view from Sept. 4 - 30, 2009, at the organization's new gallery in the Pendleton Street Arts District on Smith Street in Greenville. The exhibit will also be featured during the West Greenville Arts Festival held on Sept. 19 and 20, 2009.

The Juried Show is an annual event for Upstate Visual Arts, but has typically been a part of the fall festival, Art in the Park. This year, we are pleased to have the exhibition as the first event of the West Greenville Arts Festival. Because Upstate Visual Arts is now located on the site of the upcoming festival, we are able to have the Juried Show available for viewing the entire month of September as opposed to the brief weekend that Art in the Park allowed in previous years.

The show will be selected from entries in the following categories: two-dimensional (painting, printmaking, drawing, etc.), three-dimensional (ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, relief, sculpture, wood, etc.) and Photo/Digital (photography, digital, computer, etc.).

Upstate Visual Arts exists to enhance the quality of life within the community by elevating the stature of visual art and educating the public to its significance.
