Asheville Gallery of Art to Show Works by Ann Vasilik

The Asheville Gallery of Art , in Asheville, NC, Artist of the Month for October is Asheville watercolor artist Ann Vasilik. The exhibit will be on display Oct. 4 - 30.

Vasilik, a resident of Asheville since 1988, is best known as a painter of Asheville and Western NC street scenes and landscapes. Almost all of her work is done on location, giving a freshness and spontaneity to her paintings. She was recently named most popular local artist in the Asheville area.

A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Art, she has worked an a painter, illustrator, and teacher in Virginia, Hawaii, North Carolina, and the Republic of the Philippines. She is a consistent award winner in local, regional, and national art exhibits.

Vasilik has conducted painting workshops throughout the United States and in Ireland. Her October exhibit, Here and There, will include recent paintings from Ireland as well as local scenes of Asheville and Hendersonville.
