Three Artists at the Asheville Gallery of Art

Asheville Gallery of Art, located in downtown Asheville, NC, Artist- of- the- Month for Nov. will feature three recent additions to the gallery: Jane Desonier, oils and alkyds; Sahar Fakhoury, oils, and Parrish Rhodes, watercolors.

Desonier studies art at the University of New Orleans and the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. She paints primarily still life and flowers, but also paints landscapes and portraits. Her work has been juried into national shows.

Fakhoury previously lived in Kuwait, where she studied with professional artists and attended workshops. In 1990 she moved with her family to the United States. She is now pursuing a degree in art at he University of NC at Asheville.

Parrish Rhodes began her painting career while on the Isle of Wight. Since then she has lived, painted, and exhibited in New Zealand, Australia, Germany, and Canada. Rhodes works in both watercolors and oil pastels.
