Cheryl Newby Gallery in Myrtle Beach Offers Exhibit of Antique Maps & Charts

A Special exhibit of original antique maps and charts of the South will be featured at the Cheryl Newby Gallery in Myrtle Beach, SC, from Aug. 13 through Sept. 10. The exhibit, It's On the Map! - Antique Maps and Charts of the South will span three centuries of map and chart making, providing intriguing insights into early cartographic curiosities, the Colonial South, as well as the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.

Maps produced from copperplate engravings, stone lithography, and chromolithography will all be on exhibit, many with original hand coloring. Several maps in the exhibit will be on loan from private collections, others will be available for purchase.
