36th Annual Piedmont Crafts Fair in Winston-Salem

Perfectly timed for holiday shopping, the 36th Annual Piedmont Crafts Fair will be held at the M.C. Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem, NC, Nov. 19 - 21. Mounted by Piedmont Craftsmen, Inc., the fair showcases the handwork of more than 100 fine artisans from across the southeast in a setting that allows shoppers to meet the craftspeople. Exhibiting members include craft artists who work in clay, wood, glass, fibers, leather, metal, photography, printmaking, and mixed media creating one-of-a-kind works that can be functional as well as beautiful.

Some of the special features of this year's Fair are: craft showcase "rooms" designed by local interior decorators, hands-on craft workshops for children, walking tours of the Fair led by gallery owners and knowledgeable collectors, demonstrations of a variety of crafts techniques and a special selection of fine crafts priced $50 and under for new collectors.

Proceeds from the Fair support the educational programs of the non-profit Piedmont Craftsmen, established in 1963. Piedmont Craftsmen represents the highest standard of contemporary and traditional craft. Exhibiting members from throughout the Southeast have been juried into the guild by a standards committee made up of exhibiting craftsmen. The organization conducts workshops, mounts exhibitions, and operates a gallery and shop.
