Waccamaw Art Center Features Works About Horry County & Calls For Entires

The newly opened Waccamaw Art Center on Main Street in Conway, SC, will be showing an exhibit entitled, The Best Of; The Best For and The Best To Horry County, through Aug., 1999. This summer show will feature all different mediums from the visual arts to the folk arts. Pen & ink, black & white photography, glass sculptures, porcelain arts, jewelry, fabric collage wallhangings, color photography are just a few different types of mediums to view and purchase at the Waccamaw Art Center. Acrylics, watercolors and collages are also available in originals and reproduction prints. Everything from formal to fanciful art works can be admired and sold.

This show will be up for the next two months, art work will be needed to replenish stock sold, therefore, we will still be accepting slide submissions of art work for the Summer 1999 exhibition (through July & August). Should you be interested in participating in this show, please submit no more than 5 slides representative of your work and a resume.

The Waccamaw Art Center is a cooperative effort of the Horry Cultural Arts Council, The City of Conway, South Carolina Arts Commission and Horry County Tax Accommodations.
