New Art Exhibit at the Morning Song Gallery in Lenoir, NC

The Morning Song Gallery in Lenoir, NC, will be hosting an exhibit using the theme, Living Places/Living Spaces through Oct. 26. This exhibit shows paintings by Hickory artists, Kate Worm and Mark Potter as well as clay reproduction house sculptures by Lin Barnhardt of Mt. Pleasant, NC.

Barnhardt's house sculptures depict historical buildings in NC as well as Charleston, SC. Each piece is handmade and not created from a mold. Painter Kate Worm has shown extensively in galleries throughout NC and her work has been collected by many corporations as well as by private collectors. Her painting technique uses oils in a lucious and expressive manner. Worm's still life pieces are poetic in composition and color. The bold paintings by Mark Potter reveal this painter's love of the styles of Paul Gauguin and Vincent Van Gogh. Potter has been the recipient of many art awards throughout NC.
