North Charleston City Gallery Presents Exhibit of Wildlife Art
The City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Program in North Charleston, SC, will host an exhibit featuring both the sculpture and paintings of local artist, Ronnie T. Riddle, during the month of October.
Riddle's work expresses his love of nature with mainly wildlife interpretations in his sculptures from mahogany, cherry, and cedar woods. His carvings are designed to reflect the beauty and simple elegance that the early folk carvers captured in their work. Each piece is finished with color and patina to create the appearance of age. He also uses his creative energy through watercolor and acrylic painting. His studio and home overlook the Wadmalaw Sound on the Inter-coastal Waterway, where he receives wonderful inspiration for most of his work.
