Odyssey Gallery in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Potters of the Roan
The Odyssey Gallery in Asheville, NC, will features an exhibition of works by members of Potters of the Roan from Oct. 3 through Dec. 11, 2002.
Potters of the Roan is a guild of emerging and internationally recognized potters who live and work in the Bakersville area of Western North Carolina, around Roan Mountain. This exhibit features a wide range of both functional and sculptural artwork by this group, showing off their diverse styles and methods.
Terry Gess, Melisa Cadell and Mark Peters will give a slide lecture in the gallery on Oct 21, at 12 noon. This hour-long event is open to the public; admission is free; and you are welcome to bring a bag lunch.
Participating artists include:Melisa Cadell, Will Ruggles, Joe Comeau, Douglass Rankin, Terry Gess, David Ross, Suze Lindsay, Ken Sedberry, Kent McLaughlin, Ron Slagle, Shane Mickey, Gertrude Graham Smith, Mark Peters, and Lisa Stinson.
