The Art Institute of Charlotte in Charlotte, NC, Features Contemporary Chinese Design Exhibit
Contemporary Chinese Design, an exploration of fine and applied arts, opens its month-long exhibit at The Art Institute of Charlotte Gallery in Charlotte, NC. The exhibit will be on view from Oct. 1 - 29, 2004. This dynamic visual exploration of contemporary Chinese design showcases professional samples of four of China's premier designers and their graphic design, interior design, architecture, industrial design and painting.
"We are delighted to be able to bring this diverse array of creative talent to residents of the Charlotte community," said Elizabeth M. Guinan, AiCH President. "Design professionals and art enthusiasts will find it educating and inspirational to review the works of their Chinese counterparts."
Following its premiere exhibition at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Gallery in June, Contemporary Chinese Design is touring 20 Art Institutes in the US and Canada through mid-2006. This is its first exhibit in the Southeast. After Charlotte, the exhibit will travel to The New England Art Institute in Boston.
