Hilton Head Art Gallery on HHI, SC, Offers Works by Helen Evans
The Hilton Head Art Gallery on Hilton Head Island, SC, will present a repeat -exhibition featuring the works of Helen Evans from Oct. 6 - 27, 2005.
It is so easy to find pleasure in Evans' works.
Her paintings, whether watercolor or oil, help even a novice see
the beauty through her eyes. She is an artist unafraid of taking
on new challenges, including working in different mediums.
Evans has worked with watercolors, pastels, ceramics and now oils.
Because of her varied abilities, we do not want for a change of
pace, whether we want to see scenes of Italy, scenes of solitude
or beautiful florials.
Evans' life experiences and extensive travels have influenced her art, taking the art enthusiast along on her journeys. The subjects of her paintings are from Hilton Head Island, to Haiti, to Illinois, to Italy, Puerto Rico, England, France and Mexico.
Evans is a member of the Southern Watercolor Society, South Carolina Watercolor Society, Hilton Head Art League and the Society of Bluffton Artists, where she has been juried into numerous shows. Her works may be seen at various galleries, including Pluff Mudd in Bluffton, SC, and at the Hilton Head Art League Gallery.
