Sunset River Marketplace in Calabash, NC, Offers Works by Vittorio Santini
Sunset
River Marketplace in Calabash, NC, will be featuring the work
of Vittorio Santini from Oct. 3 - 28, 2005.
Santini, who works in oil, is self-taught and paints from the
heart. He considers himself an abstract expressionist with a strong
relationship to the folk art school, and is known for his use
of brilliant color. His passion and love of life are evident in
his show, which is titled, Self Expression.
Formerly a professional soccer player with Lucchese S.S. of Lucca, Tuscany, Santini lived in New Jersey for over 20 years where he was a member of the Watchung Art Center. Today a resident of Myrtle Beach, SC, Santini belongs to the Waccamaw Arts And Crafts Guild and is also a member of the Roundtable Group of artists in Myrtle Beach.
Ginny Lassiter owner of Sunset River Marketplace said, "Vittorio's work is fresh and vibrant, and has an innocence to it that will be especially appealing to afficianados of folk art. His use of color is his own unique signature."
Sunset River Marketplace showcases the work of over 200 artists - all from either North or South Carolina. Virtually all genre are represented including representational, abstract, mixed media, clay, hand-blown glass, artisan jewelry, turned wood, metalworks and more.
