The Collectors Gallery in Raleigh, NC, Features Works by Noyes Capehart and Gregory Smith
The Collectors Gallery in Raleigh, NC, will present the exhibit, New Works by Noyes Capehart and Gregory Smith, on view from Oct. 5 through Nov. 10, 2007. Work by two very accomplished artists from western NC will be introduced to the Raleigh area in this exhibition.
Noyes Capehart
Noyes Capehart was a professor of Art at Appalachian State University from 1969 to his retirement in 1997. He is a storyteller in every sense of the word and this is reflected in his art. His pictures and words will always come forth and they will lead to expressions we all understand and appreciate.
Gregory Smith
Gregory Smith earned his BA in painting from Appalachian State University in 1992 where he was as student of Capehart'. Landscape, still-life, and portrait paintings are all connected by his constant fascination with the physical properties of the medium. He often incorporates a trompe l'oiel effect in his work.
Also featuring handblown glass by NC artist Scott Summerfield
