South Carolina's Only Outsider Art Fair Returns to Travelers Rest
On Oct. 6, 2007, from 10am-6pm, Travelers Rest,
SC, will be hosting its second annual TRAM Fair, a day-long festival
featuring over 40 outsider and folk artists from across the southeast.
The TRAM Fair will
be held at Gateway Park (behind Sunrift Adventures) and is free
to the public.
At the TRAM Fair, put on by Travelers Rest Arts Mission and the Greenville County Recreation District, fair-goers will get a chance to experience a different side of the local art scene. "TRAM's goal is to provide a platform where these unique artists can display their individualist talent as well as introduce Outsider Art to the regional area," says Elizabeth Schroeder, TRAM Board member and TRAM Fair chair.
The 2007 TRAM Fair is supported in part by
grants from the South Carolina Arts Commission, Metropolitan Arts
Council, and South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and
Tourism and by local sponsors including Carolina First, T&S
Brass and Bronze Works, Bank of Travelers Rest, Leopard Forest
Coffee Company, Furman University, and the City of Travelers Rest.
