Works by Alice Williams
Shain Gallery in Charlotte, NC, will present New Works by Alice Williams, featuring a one woman exhibit, on view from Oct. 3 through Nov. 4, 2008.
Known for her incredibly strong color and composition, Williams has been creating charming interiors, landscapes and fine portraits for the past thirty-five years. Her style is reminiscent of the Impressionists, yet uniquely her own with a modern day appeal. Williams' paintings have a striking immediacy as she brings to the viewer her own world of cozy interiors and cottage garden scenes, many of which are painted on location right in her own home. Her story is a never-ending fascination with light. It is not surprising that she is represented in some of the finest private and several corporate collections.
Shain Gallery located in the heart of Myers Park in Charlotte, has been on the forefront of the Charlotte art scene, since opening their doors in 1998. The gallery represents many regional and national artists.
