Asheville Gallery of Art Features an Exhibit of Works by New Members
During the month of January, Asheville Gallery of Art in Asheville, NC, will host an exhibit, Three On The Wall, featuring three artist new to the Gallery.
Maxine Tatreau
Maxine Tatreau, of Hendersonville, paints in several media, including oil, acrylics, ink - and her favorite - watercolor. Her work is displayed in various professional offices and many private collections in the United States and other countries. She has exhibited in numerous juried shows, including the current North Carolina Watercolor Society exhibit. She is a member of the Art League of Henderson County as well as a number of professional art organizations.
Judith Bush, a graduate of Smith College with a BA in studio art, and an MA from Vermont College, now lives and works in Black Mountain. Bush's love of abstract design , color, and imaginative imagery has fed her life-long passion to create visual art. Her current focus on collage blends together all these interest into her textured, patterned paper constructions.
Nancy Swann
Nancy Swann, of Weaverville, is a self-taught artist. Most of her early work was acrylic portraits. She is currently focusing mostly on pastel renderings of the North Carolina landscape. She has participated in a number of North Carolina shows, and won Best of Show at the North Carolina State Fair this past year.
