Works by Jenny Warburg at Durham Arts Council, Durham, NC
Freelance, an exhibition of photography by freelance photographer, political activist and former social worker, Jenny Warburg is on view in the Allenton Gallery of the Durham Arts Council in Durham, NC, through Jan. 14.
Warburg will be exhibiting a variety of images from her accomplished freelance career. Her photographs have appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times, Time, US News and World Report, Rolling Stone, Mother Jones, Latina, The Washington Post, Ms., The Village Voice, London's Observer Life and L'Express from Paris. She has worked closely with Gloria Steinem, with photographs appearing on Lifetime Television's Intimate Portraits. This past summer she served as Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's personal campaign photographer. She is currently working as the Executive Producer and still photographer for a feature film with the well-known author and syndicated political columnist, Norman Solomon. She continues to work as a freelance photojournalist and since 1992 has been on staff as a contributing photographer for The Independent Weekly.
