Ashe County Arts Council in West Jefferson, NC, Offers an Exhibition of Works in Fiber
The first exhibit of the new year at the Ashe Arts Center in West Jefferson, NC, is Tempting Textures. The exhibit, sponsored by the Ashe County Arts Council, will include quilts, wall hangings, weavings, and works in fiber - showing things warm and fuzzy. Tempting Textures will open on Jan. 7 and continue through Feb. 24, 2004.
Contributing locals artists include: Lynda Carver, Theresa Early Curd, Sherry Ellis, Jean Herman, Carolina Mickalitis, Pat Morrison, Martha Taylor and others. These artists using a variety of techniques will show off their skill with fabric, yarn, needle and thread creating pieces of art made by their own hand.
