Richland County Public Library in Columbia, SC, Features Quilts by Dottie M. Gantt
Wall Threads - Fiber Art for the Senses by Dottie M. Gantt will be on display in the Wachovia Gallery of the Richland County Public Library in Columbia, SC. The mixed media exhibit, which includes fiber art and quilts, will run through Mar. 30, 2004.
Gantt uses quilt making and other art techniques to create her mixed media art designs. Her work has been shown in museums, art galleries and other venues throughout the United States, including South Carolina, North Carolina, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Texas, Wisconsin and Georgia.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Gantt holds a master's degree from Kansas State University. She has also studied fine arts at the University of South Carolina, Du Page College and Waubonse College.
