Tryon Fine Arts Center in Tryon, NC, Features Works by Virginia Rostick
Tryon Painters and Sculptors will host an exhibit of paintings by Virginia Rostick at the Tryon Fine Arts Center in Tryon, NC, from Jan. 11 through Feb. 3, 2004.
Rostick's creative interests surfaced at an early age. An art major in high school, work and family required her to take a hiatus for many years. She returned to the classroom after the children finished college to find the challenge of water media once again. Being juried into several shows heightened her fascination to experiment and explore different techniques.
Rostick has studied with such artists as Carrie Brown, Stephen Quiller, and Darell Koons. She is a member of the South Carolina Watercolor Society, Upstate Visual Arts, and Tryon Painters and Sculptors.
