Applewood Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Offers Group Exhibition for New Year
Applewood Gallery in Charlotte, NC, will present an exhibition of works by several artists on view through Feb. 28, 2005. The exhibit will include works by: Greg Barnes, Natalie Bork, Judith Cutler, Ada Offerdahl, and George Thompson.
Greg Barnes will offerworks of oil on canvas. One of Charlotte's most-recognized and award winning artists, Barnes won Best in Show at the 2004 Festival in the Park Art Show. He recently concluded his one man show, DUOS, at the Gallery.
Natalie Bork
creates abstract work of oil on canvas. She most recently exhibited
her work at Cuvee Wine & Art Gallery in Charlotte. This is
her first exposure at Applewood Gallery.
Judith Cutler will be showing abstract pastels on paper. She recently
won the Allied Artists Award at the National Pastel Society of
America (PSA) Competition in New York City. She earned "signature
member" status in the PSA in 2003.
Ada Offerdahl will present landscape works of oil on canvas. Her work has been shown extensively in the Charlotte area. This marks a return to Applwood Gallery for this talented landscape artist.
George Thompson will show work of oil on canvas. He has taught artists for more than 25 years and is one of 150 master pastelists designated by the PSA. Thompson will be teaching oil and pastel painting workshops at Applewood Gallery during 2005.
