Hayes George Gallery Opens in Charlotte. NC's, Historic South End

Merrill Hayes and Renee George McColl are pleased to announce the opening of Hayes George Gallery. Located in the historic South End neighborhood of Charlotte at 225 East Worthington Avenue, the gallery has opened with an exciting group exhibition entitled, Small Scale, on view through Jan. 15, 2005. This grand opening exhibition features a large collection of small scale contemporary works from ten of the gallery's artists.

Hayes George Gallery specializes in contemporary abstract and realistic works of fine art and sculpture. Nationally and internationally recognized artists with established careers are represented. Many of the artists have been honored with museum and gallery exhibitions and have their work in numerous private and corporate collections. The gallery is also pleased to exhibit works by emerging artists, adding to its fresh perspective on art.

Conventional subject matter including landscape and still life, as well as more challenging non-objective abstract work, will be exhibited to offer clients a broad range of quality contemporary fine art. The work will range in scale and price appealing to a broad customer base of individuals, designers and corporations. Work will be featured in group and solo exhibitions changing every six to eight weeks.

Merrill Hayes is an accomplished sculptor whose previous experience includes working in a prominent gallery in Sun Valley, ID. Renee McColl is a former investment banker and avid collector.

Hayes George Gallery has created a relaxed, approachable gallery setting where individuals, designers and corporations may purchase relevant collectable works of fine art.

Later this month the gallery will present the exhibition, Treasures and Trembles, featuring works by David deVillier, from Jan. 21 through Feb. 26, 2005.
