Hilton Head Art Gallery on Hilton Head Island, SC, Offers Works by Juliana Boyd Kim
Hilton Head Art Gallery on Hilton Head Island, SC, is presenting the exhibit, Vibrant Visions, featuring works by Boston artist Juliana Boyd Kim to start the New Year. The exhibit will be on view from Jan. 5 - 27, 2006.
Kim's work incorporates vivid representations
of landscape scenes. The exhibit will include plein air oils and
watercolors of the Lowcountry, vibrant conceptions of Tuscany
and even some Alaskan voyeurism. "Juliana is a very talented
artist. She uses various media to present her subjects. She has
an impressive collective of works. We're proud to feature her
and are sure art lovers will enjoy her representations,"
said Chris Mullaney, gallery owner.
Kim has been reveling in the visual arts since childhood and has
been able to pursue painting as a full-time career for the last
five years. Extensive travels, as well as the recent addition
of a second home in Hilton Head, provide ample material to investigate
the essence of space and place. She works in various media, including
watercolor, oil and acrylic.
Kim has a Bachelor of Art degree in art history from Vassar College.
She also has a Masters in Business Administration from Simmons
College and a four-year studio diploma from the School of the
Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
Kim has a studio in Boston's artistic center, the South End, and
is a member of several art associations in the Boston area. Her
work has been in juried group exhibitions and is in private collections
in the US and England. Locally, she is a member of the Hilton
Head Art League, the Beaufort Art Association and the Society
of Bluffton Artists.
Hilton Head Art Gallery is a non-profit organization that presents
work by regional and local artists at its location in Pineland
Station.
