Artists' Guild of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, SC, Offers Works by Gwyn "Gazell" Jolley
The Artists' Guild of Spartanburg in Spartanburg,
SC, will present the exhibit, Geo Designs and More: Works by
Gwyn "Gazell" Jolley, on view in the Guild Gallery
from Jan. 2 - 28, 2007.
Jolley, who uses her middle given name "Gazell" as her
artist's signature, is a graduate of Converse College with a major
in art therapy. This is her first show since graduating from the
Converse II program in May 2003.
The 23 works in the Guild Gallery exhibit were created using prismcolor pencils and pen geometric designs. All the works are framed with black frame and mat board coordinated with geometric design.
"I have always been a 'crafty' type person, creative in making craft," Jolley said of how her love for making art developed. "When I began my concentration work at Converse for my major, it involved 42 credit hours of art. Most of the art classes were in studio art. I found not a love but a passion. I have not had a day since not doing art of some sort."
