Blue Ridge Arts Council in Seneca, SC, Offers Annual Juried Exhibit
The Blue Ridge Arts Council in Seneca, SC, is pleased to announce that the 16th Annual Juried Show will be on view at the Blue Ridge Art Center Gallery from Jan. 19 through Mar. 9, 2007. The Arts Council is partnering with the Seneca Woman's Club to offer an additional venue. Work that is not chosen for their juried show will be on exhibit at the Ballenger House in Seneca on Jan. 18, 2007, during the Heritage Lecture Series. Art enthusiasts will be able view and purchase pieces on display.
Katie Lee, curator at the College of Charleston's Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, will jury the work that will be exhibited for the show. Two "best of show" awards will be given; one for two dimensional work, and another for three dimensional. A number of merit awards and honorable mentions will be presented. The Arts Company, located in downtown Seneca, will also grant a one-man show to the artist of their choice.
The exhibit is funded in part by Oconee County ATAX.
