Shain Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Offers Works by Roger Dale Brown & Christy Kinard
Two well-known artists, Roger Dale Brown and Christy Kinard, will join in an exhibit of New Works at the Shain Gallery in Charlotte, NC. The exhibition opens on Jan. 11 and continues through Jan. 31, 2008.
An avid plein-air painter, Roger Dale Brown began his formal art studies at Middle Tennessee University and has been serving as President of the Southeastern Plein Air Association of Painters since 2004. Recently he has become a Signature Member of Oil Painters of America.
Brown's oil paintings have been displayed in galleries throughout the United States and he has received numerous awards including Best of Show of the 39th Annual Central South Juried Exhibition and also received the Best of Show of the Hudson Valley Association at the National Arts Club in New York City. Examples of his work have been featured in publications of International Artist Magazine, and are in many private and corporate collections.
Christy Kinard displays a natural talent which has been evolving since childhood. She has formal training at both Atlanta College of Art and Savannah College of Art and Design. She has created a unique style with a self-defined expression of her southern roots.
Kinard's paintings have been collected by private and corporate collections across the United States and Europe. She has numerous published works to her credit. She lived in London, England from 2001-2004, and now lives and paints in Atlanta, GA. Kinard exhibits her works in many well know galleries across the United States and England.
Shain Gallery, located in the heart of Myers Park in Charlotte, has been on the forefront of the Charlotte art scene since opening their doors in 1998. The gallery represents many regional, national and international artists.
