November Issue 2000
Winthrop University Galleries in Rock Hill, SC, Presents Faculty Exhibition
Art and Design Faculty Exhibition One opens Nov. 11 and continues through Jan. 14, 2001, in the Rutledge and Elizabeth Dunlap Patrick Galleries at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. Included in this year's exhibition are comprehensive viewings of the art of Alan Huston, Paul Martyka, Mary Mintich and Phil Moody.
This fall Winthrop University Galleries initiates a new program for the annual Art and Design Faculty Exhibition, exhibiting four different artists each year. Art and Design Faculty Exhibition One will offer audiences a more complete examination of the thoughts and visual expressions of each artist in the exhibition. The 2000 exhibition will feature the work of Winthrop artists/educators Alan Huston, Paul Martyka, Mary Mintich and Phil Moody. A publication will accompany the exhibition with an essay by writer/critic Teri Tynes. "I think this type of project for our talented faculty is overdue," says gallery director Tom Stanley. "They deserve the support of the Galleries with this kind of exhibition and publication on an annual basis. Next year we will look at four others as we continue this program."
