"Natalie has laid out the entire gallery and selected the work," says Tippy Stern-Brickman. "This kind of experience will be very important to her as she intends to pursue a career in the Art World." "I selected and arranged the artwork in relation to color and balance," says Natalie Pruner. "I learned so much from this experience, and I so appreciate the opportunity Tippy gave to me."
Brian Rutenberg
"In keeping with the mission statement of this gallery when we started, I wanted to use the gallery for the benefit of others," says Stern-Brickman. "Natalie volunteered with me for almost six months before being hired as a gallery assistant," says Stern-Brickman. "Anyone who thinks you hammer a nail in your walls and up goes the artwork needs to be around us for a week prior to hanging the gallery."
"I love using the space for young people to learn." "It gives the gallery and me a lot of energy," says Stern-Brickman. Other volunteer Interns are Frances Stern, and Adrienne Pomeroy. "They are all delightful and add a really positive atmosphere. We have all learned a great deal from each other. These young woman believe in what we are doing," says Stern-Brickman. Pruner is working on "A Student Exhibition" to be held in the Gallery next summer.
