Gallery on 8th in Myrtle Beach, SC, Features Photographs by Jon Holloway
Gallery on 8th in Myrtle Beach, SC, announced that photographer, Jon Holloway, would be the next featured artist to display works at the gallery. Holloway will be exhibiting his unique work through Mar. 7, 2003, which will also be available for sale. He joins an impressive and talented cast of artists currently exhibiting at Gallery on 8th.
Holloway is a professional photographer in
Clinton, SC. His work has been nationally and internationally
exhibited and collected by private and corporate collectors. His
work has appeared in numerous publications including: National
Geographic and Daybreak 2000.
This exhibit includes works from the series: Nature's Rhythm,
Ghostdance: Native America, India: A Journey, Spirit, and
Solitude which are Holloway's signature works.
Nature's Rhythm
is a series of environmental shots that are born of pure color
and extreme contrasts. Ghostdance features photos of Native
Americans from around the country. India: A Journey highlights
Holloway's travels to the far reaches of India to record the beauty
of its people. Spirit introduces a series of nudes with
a twist, and Solitude journeys to the inner sanctum of
ones dreams through the channels of Nature photography.
Holloway travels extensively to photograph and document the natural
history and heritage of lands he visits. He has worked throughout
the United States, Canada, Central America, and India.
