November Issue 2002
I. Pinckney Simons Gallery in Beaufort, SC, Offers Works by Harriet Goode and Cindy Saad
Located in Historic Beaufort, SC, the I. Pinckney
Simons Gallery will celebrate its first year with an exhibition
by artists Harriet Goode and Cindy Saad from Nov. 9 - 30, 2002.
Featured will be a new exhibition of paintings by artist Harriet
Marshall Goode of Rock Hill, SC. Goode paints in both oil and
acrylic on canvas. Her subject matter is all figurative. "I
just paint women, and they're all my sisters, spiritually and
poetically." Each painting has personal meaning and was inspired
by a particular person or circumstance. Her palette is made up
of mostly neutrals with surprising splashes of color to capture
the eye. Goode is a fill time, well exhibited and awarded artist
in both private and corporate collections across the country.
Cindy Saad enjoys expressing herself by creating eye-catching jewelry. She works with sterling wire to sculpt her one of a kind jewelry designs incorporating beads, and semiprecious stones. Saad's collection includes whimsical yet sophisticated designs in necklaces, earrings and bracelets. She has created unique broach designs for the First Ladies Walk for Life... Steps Against Breast Cancer. Her collectors include anchorwoman Ann Curry and singer/actress Olivia Newton-John. Saad's award winning jewelry, modern with a twist of the past has universal appeal.
I. Pinckney Simons Gallery invites the public during the month of November as they celebrate the art of painting with Harriet Goode and her Spiritual Sisters, and Cindy Saad's Fine Designs in Sterling.
