Hilton Head Art League Opens Holiday Art Boutique on Hilton Head island, SC
With the holidays just weeks away, the Hilton Head Art League announces the opening of its annual Holiday Art Boutique at the Gallery in Pineland Station on Hilton Head Island, SC, on Nov. 23 through Jan. 3, 2004. The Boutique features a wide selection of "giftable art items", some seasonal, some just wonderful. "Our artists are hard at work, creating the kinds of things that will be perfect for everyone on your holiday gift-giving list," says Barb Snow, Gallery Chairperson. "Every year they come up with new and creative ideas that can make your holiday gifts special," she adds.
This year's selection includes: hand-crafted and stitched handbags; Christmas tree ornaments; pine-needle baskets, painted gourds and gourd baskets; jewelry; hand-woven scarves; miniature paintings and more. Of course, the paintings, prints, sculptures and collages that are a part of our typical gallery collection, are great gift items, too. Over 100 of our artists exhibit regularly at the gallery, and with a complete change of show every four weeks, there's always something new to choose from. There is a broad price range to fit every budget, and unique items not found anywhere else.
This year, Kathy Quarles, our oyster shell designer, has outdone herself. Her latest selection of oyster shell angels, table centerpieces and wreathes are just beautiful. These always sell out quickly, so shop early to get your pick of the collection.
The Hilton Head Art League is a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to promoting the visual arts in the community and increasing the art skills of its members. It provides classes and workshops and gives scholarships to high school students moving on to study the visual arts.
