November Issue 2006

Elder Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Features Works by Bob Ichter

Elder Gallery in Charlotte, NC. will present an exhibition of works by Atlanta artist, Bob Ichter at Elder Gallery's Annex gallery, from Nov. 3 - 30, 2006.

Ichter is an award-winning artist whose romantic pastels are richly colored and hand-rubbed onto lushly textured black suede archival board. The strengths of Ichter's pastels include vibrant, saturated colors and strong compositions. According to Ichter, each piece is designed to evoke a certain time of day and to transport the viewer to another place.

Autumn and dusk are favorite themes, which have been inspired by landscapes from around the world. Ichter's paintings take the viewer into the rolling hills of the French countryside, strolling along a windy Normandy beach, exploring a pathway through a NC Blue Ridge forest, gazing at a dragonfly resting upon a patch of water lilies in Claude Monet's gardens at Giverny or floating along the river Seine.

Collectors of Ichter's work range from well-known celebrities to Fortune 500 companies such as The Coca-Cola Company, Equifax, Bank of America and Accenture.

In the main exhibition gallery the exhibit, Leon Makielski (1885-1974), The Artist's Collection, will continue to be on view through Nov. 18, 2006.
