Artis Fine Art in Winston-Salem, NC, Offers Works by Ken Wallin

Artis Fine Art will present a series of new paintings by Georgia artist, Ken Wallin, at Noble's Grille in Winston-Salem, NC, beginning Nov. 24, and continuing through Jan. 11, 2008. Wallin's original oil paintings encompass a wide range of subject matter including: landscapes, seascapes, and of course, his hugely popular floral still life and Lowcountry marsh scenes.

Through his innovative use of palette knife, brush stroke and brilliant color, Wallin has made his mark as a gifted artist. His personal passion for the world around him is apparent in the energetic way in which he approaches his subject matter. Wallin's strong brush stroke and bold palette combine to create striking compositions, visually conveying his passion for the landscape to the observer.

Wallin has travelled extensively and his body of work depicts the local color and people he has encountered along the way in the towns and villages of favorite locations including: France, Italy, Costa Rica and the coastal areas of the United States. Describing his work as, 'a unique combination of realism with moderate impressionism". Wallin feels art should be positive and uplifting, choosing to paint the "bright and cheerful".

Wallin's work is featured in a number of public and private collections in the United States and abroad. An accomplished writer and illustrator, he recently published a new book, The Creative Art Adventures of Ken Wallin.
