Rail Walk Studios & Gallery in Salisbury, NC, Features Works by Annette Ragone Hall
Rail Walk Studios & Gallery in Salisbury, NC, is presenting the exhibit, Life Glow: the Light of Creation, featuring works by Annette Ragone Hall, on view through Nov. 16, 2007.
The show is serving as a fundraiser for the Horse Protection Society of North Carolina. The artist is donating 10% of sales of her artwork during the exhibit. Direct donations will also be accepted. All donations are tax deductible.
The exhibition features the artist's latest paintings, a series of watercolors and acrylics with the theme of life, light, and the force of creation.
Hall received her BA in Art from Roanoke College. She has studied with such well-known artists as Katherine Chang Liu, Arne Westerman, Bart Rulon, Tom Lynch, Carla O'Connor, and Chuck Webster. This is her first solo show.
In early 2007, Hall and her husband moved from the Seattle, WA, area to North Carolina, the land of warmth and sun, so that she could fulfill a life-long dream of working as a full-time artist. Prior to that, she had spent many years working at Microsoft, in graphics-related positions, fitting in painting whenever she had free time. Wanting to live away from the day-to-day congestion of a large city, but near enough to take advantage of big-city amenities, they selected Salisbury, to be their new home. Another draw was that Salisbury is developing a vibrant arts district that is attracting artists from all over the country to live.
