The Wilmington Gallery in Wilmington, NC, Features Works by Joan Croft-Jones
The
Wilmington Gallery in Wilmington, NC, is presenting the exhibit,
Paper, Stone, and Wood, featuring works by Joan Croft-Jones,
on view through Nov. 30, 2007.
Croft-Jones is well known locally and nationwide for her watercolors
that blend thoughtful consideration of her subject with a clarity
and spontaneity of application. Her interests extend to other
media and 3 dimensional work as well, and she enjoys conducting workshops.
"As an art teacher, I like to
recycle, find, and even grow many of the materials I use
and paint," says Croft-Jones. "Driftwood, bamboo,
and small furniture pieces will be a part of my show. My
principle interest is watercolor and soapstone, so they will be
the main focus."
