Center of the Earth Gallery in Charlotte,
NC, Features Works by Charles Walker
Center of the Earth Gallery in Charlotte, NC,
will present an exhibition of works by Charles Walker, on view
from Nov. 4 through Dec. 27, 2008.
This exhibition conveys a simplified perception of the complex
world through vivid colors and alluring texture. Walker utilizes
formal elements as a metaphor for emotion, mood, and other intangible
aspects of human nature. Reminiscent of binary code, the movement
in his paintings reflects the pace of our technologically evolving
world.
Walker's paintings are included in the permanent collections of Davidson College, Duke Energy, Fidelity Investments, Wake Forest University, UNC Chapel Hill School of Business, Shurtape Technologies, and Neiman Marcus. He received his MFA from the University of Georgia and his BA from Wake Forest University.
