HoFP Gallery in Columbia, SC, Features Works by Jorge Vigil
HoFP Gallery in Columbia, SC, is hosting Soiree Francais, paintings and drawings by Jorge Vigil. The show runs through Dec.21.
HoFP invites you to savor the sophisticated and intricate images of Vigil's metaphysical world. His imagery seduces you into a world of fantastic creatures and people that are at once bath familiar and mystical.
The works range from miniature vignettes to large, intricate canvases. They interweave natural, spiritual and primitive themes into a remarkably cohesive whole. The craftsmanship is reminiscent of Hieronymus Bosch, but with a fresh, lyrical aspect. A native of Lima, Peru, the artist now resides in Paris, France. Soiree Francais will be the third showing of his works in Columbia.
