Church Street Inn Gallery in Charleston, SC, Features Exhibit of Works by Guido Petruzzi
The Church Street Inn Gallery in Charleston, SC, is pleased to represent Guido Petruzzi. An exhibition of his recent work will be featured in the main gallery for the month of Dec., 2002.
Italian born Petruzzi has been a plein aire painter since 1997. He studied privately with Morgan Samuel Price and James Sulkowski. A retired executive from the New York City Fashion Industry, he also built 17th and 18th century reproduction English furniture as a hobby for over ten years.
Oil is Petruzzi's medium of choice for all his landscape and still life paintings. He is a member of the Oil Painters of America. His works are in private collections in Italy, Germany, Brazil, Bucks County (PA), New York City, Los Angeles and the local area.
Petruzzi's landscapes have a soft, atmospheric peace about them which is reminiscent of 18th century painters of the Hudson River Valley School or the classic English country scenes of John Constable, yet they are unmistakably Carolina images, infused with the vibrant color of the Lowcountry. His still lifes and florals show a mastery of technical skill.
Petruzzi's images are only available as original oil paintings.
