Center for the Arts in Rock Hill, SC, Offers Exhibition of Works by Winthrop University Students

Scars of Utopia, a photographic exhibition from six Winthrop University students, will open on Dec. 5 in the Perimeter Gallery of Rock Hill, SC's Center for the Arts. This exhibition, which will last through Jan. 1, 2004, displays the works of Jeff Smith, Michael Shoolbred, Danielle Chenette, Josephine Young, Jessica Bailey and Joey Hays.

Each artist uses a different approach conveying their intentions with a wide range of techniques, pulling from conventional and unconventional methods of photography. The diversity of the show offers a unique blend of aesthetic and social implications. This exhibition is organized and curated by the students, under the guidance of Phil Moody, professor of art and design.
