Dobbin Gallery in Charleston, SC, Features Works by Jose Candia
The Dobbin Gallery in Charleston, SC, is featuring works by Jose Candia's New Orleans series through Dec. 31, 2005.
Candia, originally from Argentine, visited New Orleans in the summer of 2003 and just recently completed the long-awaited paintings. He portrays New Orleans' French Quarter with a sensitivity to mood, depicting each scene in a large format with rich colors. He captures small details that evoke the flavor of the city and hold the interest of the viewer. Candia's technique is painterly, yet his background as an architect is obvious in the rendering of exquisite detail and form.
The New Orleans series is available as hand-signed and numbered giclees on canvas. Each image is reproduced in a very limited edition of only 495. Originals are also available starting at $35,000. A few of Candia's European city scenes will also be shown.
The Dobbin Gallery is the South's exclusive representative for this widely acclaimed, international artist.
