UNC Asheville in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Adriane McNeil Lewis
An exhibition entitled, Veracity, featuring 20 photographs by UNC Asheville senior Adriane McNeil Lewis, will be on view through Dec. 16, 2005, at UNC Asheville's Blowers Gallery, located on the Ramsey Library's main floor. The show is the culmination of Lewis' work toward a minor in art from the University.
Lewis' black-and-white photographs with selenium toning illustrate self-portraits in reflections, abstract lines and reflections of landscapes. Lewis' work earned her an honorable mention in the 24th Annual College Photo Contest sponsored by Photographer's Forum magazine and Nikon, in which over 30,000 images were submitted.
Lewis will also exhibit color photographs documenting her study abroad experience in Freiburg, Germany. These images will be on view through Dec. 16, 2005, on Ramsey Library's second floor, adjacent to Special Collections.
