Ella Walton Richardson Fine Art Gallery in Charleston, SC, Offers Exhibition by Lindsay Goodwin
The national visual arts scene is unquestionably buzzing about the young California star, Lindsay Goodwin, and her radiant evocations of softly atmospheric interiors and landscapes. A passionate devotee of capturing spontaneous romanticism and visual subtlety, Goodwin is a treasured discovery among the next generation of fine artists. During the past year, she has been the subject of several articles in the country's most highly regarded fine art publications and her passionate depictions of historic interiors and glorious figures have been flying off gallery walls. In its second magnificent exhibit of Goodwin's finest oil painting achievements, Ella Walton Richardson Fine Art Gallery in Charleston, SC, will be presenting the southeastern art market with its most splendid opportunity for fine art acquisition during the holiday season. Discovering Grace & Romance, featuring Goodwin's hallmark style, a stunning fusion of attunement to historical splendor and glorious attention to timeless grace, will be on view from Dec. 1 - 30, 2006.
A recent graduate of the esteemed Academy of Art in San Francisco, Goodwin has passionately incorporated her love of lavish interiors, historic costumes, and romantic social graces into her exquisite artistry. During her education at the Academy, Goodwin studied under the highly acclaimed northern California oil painter Craig Nelson, who is also represented by Ella Richardson Walton Fine Art Gallery. Nelson's technique of incorporating immediacy through quick oil studies also beautifully translates in Goodwin's monumental interior landscapes. Coupled with her extensive European travels and studio time in the cultural playground of Paris, Goodwin has already developed a core identity with her grand evocations of historic homes and figures.
Each of Goodwin's brilliant oil paintings, be it of a rambling European estate, the glimmering light of Austrian crystal set upon a glorious antique table, or the elegant silhouette of a cascading silk dress, reflects Goodwin's impeccable taste for the preservation of historic style. The gallery is honored to exhibit her newest testaments to timeless elegance in Charleston, the birthplace of America's historic preservation movement. Goodwin has truly mastered the art of bringing the artistic nuances of beauty in a bygone era to a form that can be delightfully appreciated in both modern homes and museums.
