Iris Photo + Digital Imaging in Asheville, NC, Features Works by Steve Dixon
Iris Photo + Digital Imaging in Asheville, NC, is presenting the exhibit, On The Side: Black & White Landscapes by Steve Dixon, on view through Jan. 5, 2008.
Asheville native and Citizen-Times staff photographer, Dixon exhibits work that shows the more contemplative side of his photographic creativity. "The necessarily slow pace of photography with a view camera, and the single-tasking nature of the work, both in the field and in the darkroom, is a refreshing change from my daily work, and is almost a kind of meditation," says Dixon of his works in the exhibit. The landscapes on display span from the Appalachians to Yosemite.
